Letter sent by inmate from KL Gusen II - St. Georgen. This inmate, who was Polish, sent this letter in December 1944, and as you can see it's really short. He only tells his relatives that he's healthy and he wishes them a merry Christmas and a happy new year. Letter is complete with ink stamp of censorship in KL Gusen and it still has the post-stamp glued to it.

KL Gusen II was part of the huge KL Mauthausen/Gusen system, and it was famous for its horrible conditions, and it was called by many prisoners that were deported in 1944 from KL Auschwitz "Inferno within the Inferno". There were also Jews imprisoned in this camp.
