WW2 - Very rare postcard from German prison in Fort 8 - Thorn !
This is very rare and interesting postcard from a female prisoner !
Getting any letter or document from this prison is really difficult.
During the German Nazi occupation of Torun during the II World War, Fort 8 served as a prison only for Poles. Many arrested members of the first Polish underground organizations in Torun were taken to this prison, of which several were killed there. Another part of them were killed in mass executions in the forest Barbarka. In 16.04.1940 from Forth 8 around 120 to 150 women were deported to Ravensbrück and in 6 .07. 1940 91 prisoners were sent to Sachsenhausen!
