Circle piece with an obverse design with a figure of a naked, overweight man sitting astride a sheaf of corn, his arms raised piece obverse text: OB JUD OB CHRIST EIN SCHUFT DER WUCHERER IST, which could be translated as "WHETHER JEW OR CHRISTIAN, THE USURER IS A BANDIT".
Reverse text: "IN BÖSEN ZEITEN IST OHN ZWEIFEL EIN MENSCH OFT DES ANDERN TEUFEL 1923", that could be translated as "IN THE TIME OF EVIL, WITHOUT A DOUBT, A HUMAN IS OFTEN THE OTHER DEVIL".
Medal from the hyperinflationary period in 1923 when commodities like corn and wheat were scarce. This medal is often referred to derogatorily as the "corn Jew" medal and is one of many anti-Semitic medals produced during this period.
