Very rare scientific book on rubber and latex obtained from 2 trees that was in the Auschwitz III - Monowitz IG Farben scientific library! This book is entitled "Gutapercha und Balata", that are 2 types of american trees from which it was obtained latex and rubber for industrial use. IG Farbenindustrie, that had a huge industrial complex in Monowitz, where slave labor was used from Birkenau and other satellite camps of Auschwitz concentration camp, had a big scientific library where scientists and workers who worked there consulted. Book has some nice ink stamps on many pages "I.G. Farbenindustrie Aktiengesellschaft Werk Auschwitz Wissenschaftliche Bibliothek". When war ended and all these Nazi industrial complex were seized by free Polish government, all the items that were there, like thousands of documents and books, were property of Dwory, a chemical industry that exploited this complex. That's why there are many other rubber ink stamps with Dwory name. Book is in very good condition and it's in German. A part of the obscure history of Auschwitz in your hands!
