We offer for sale this beautiful set that comprises a tailor made tunic, breeches and leather boots of a captain pilot of the Luftwaffe who was assigned to the famous "Kampfgeschwader 1 Hindenburg" (Battle Squadron Hindenburg) involved in several and important battles in which Nazi Germany Luftwaffe took part: Invasion of Poland, Battle of Britain, Invasion of the USSR, etc. The set is in great condition and it's of high quality. Tunic comes with all the original insignia and also the Luftwaffe pilot badge in its cloth version sewn under the left pocket. The right sleeve has the cufftitle of the "Geschwader Hindenburg" sewn on it and pilot was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd class at least, since tunic has the ribbon of the cross sewn on the first button-hole as German Army Regulations stated. Looking carefully at all the sewn award thread loops on breast pockets and above them, we can figure out that pilot was also an Iron Cross 1st class bearer, as well as many other awards that sadly didn't arrive to us with the lot. Breast eagle insignia is also in great shape and as well as collar tabs and shoulder boards. Jacket has the label of the Tailor where jacket was manufactured. Breeches are in perfect condition.
