Book "Ganze Männer. Vom Leben und Erleben der deutschen Fallschirmjäger" (Whole Men. About Life and Experience of the German Parachutists) written by Hauptmann Piehl. By far the most complete and detailed edition of paratroopers from the original WW2 time.Leipzig, Munich, Berlin: Verlagshaus Bong. Published in 1942. 96 pages with many pictures. Soft cover. The book begins with a quote from Hermann Goering as Reich Marshal. Then pictures of a Nazi parachute badge and the debauched text of paratroopers. The book describes the equipment, training and men of the German paratroopers better than anywhere else. Even paratroopers knee pads, gloves are clearly visible. There is even a chapter on General Ramcke and paratrooper brigade who served in the Afrika Korps at Field Marshal Erwin Rommel. At the end of the book is a section on awards won by the German paratroopers. Countless Iron and gold crosses etc. Really too many to describe!!
