Price: | $160.00 |
Really nice set comprising Polish slave laborer's Lager-Verpflegungs-Ausweis and his "P" cloth patch to be identified as such dated 1942. As we know, hundreds of thousands of Poles were slaved by the Nazis, working for countless German companies during Nazi occupation of Poland. In this case, this man worked as a slave for the Dynamit AG company from Bromberg, manufacturing explosives for the German war effort, Wehrmacht, etc. All the Poles that were treated as slaves, were taken to labor camps and in this case this card is an Ausweis for the meals within the camp, so that the worker could be feeded. The patch is really nice example because it's used conditio and stiched with a back cloth patch to give consistency so that it lasted more time in different costumes. All the poles were obligated to wear this patch when they worked as slaves.
Condition of the set is very good.
