We are offering for sale a great and rare set of documents,issued by the SS department of  resettlement of the Kaunas Generalkommissar to an architect to build a carpentry. Kauener Ghetto or the Ghetto of Kaunas, in Lithuania, was well konwn for the horrible treatment Nazis and Lithuanian collaborators gave to all the Jews that were forced to live there. We can say without any doubt that Lithuania was a very anti-Semitic country, and Jews were persecuted and exterminated, being Lithuania a Judenfrei Land (country with no jews). These 2 documents, issued by the Generalkomissar in Kaunas, more exactly by the SS deparment of resettlement, were sent to a German architect, Walter Winzer, asking him to build a carpentry inside the Ghetto of Kaunas, were it had to be produced the furniture for the houses of German resettlers (houses seized to Jews and given to German citizens) and to build also furniture for German schools. The other document is a paper were the architect is told what's the salary he will receive, and that he would have to be working building this carpentry for 6 months. He would be given the best raw materials to do it, it's written. Both documents are hand signed by clerks of the Generalkommissariat in Kauen and they are in awesome condition. Both come with very clear rubber stamps too.

We must say that Kaunas ghetto documents are among the rarest, and this is one of the few chances you will have to get a pair.
