Set of 5 Litzmannstadt Ghetto banknotes of different values: 50 pfenig, 1 mark, 2 marks, 5 marks and 20 marks. These banknotes were used by Jews in the second biggest ghetto within the III Reich, the Litzmannstadt ghetto, in the Polish city of Lodz. The Germans put this money into the ghetto to further isolate the inhabitants from the rest of the city. The money was not worth anything outside the ghetto.Overall condition is well used, and that gives them lot of character and the fact that they were used and circulated is really good from a historical point of view.
