Price: | $2,000.00 |
We offer for sale this amazing set that belonged to a German Jew from Leipzig. This set comprises:
-His Kennkarte for Jews, marked with big "J" and with photo of the owner. It has stamped the word "EVAKUIERT"! That means he was transported to a KL. He was given the name Israel, following the laws in Nazi Germany.
- A copy of this Kennkarte, maybe post war.
- His original David star to identify the Jews within the III Reich. This is the JUDE version for Polish and German Jews. This one has a cloth patch stitched on the reverse so that it was more consistent to stitch and un-stitch from different items of clothing. A way to recycle the star. Condition is excellent.
- His original armband from Terezin concentration camp! This one was used by those inmates who survived the horror of that camp and that were in such a good health condition to contribute with liberators to put some order in the former camp and help other inmates. It's written a date and name of the camp.
- A partially broken Ausschließungsschein due to the fact that photo was violently removed.
- 2 identical receipts of an undertaker company from Leipzig that organized the burial of this Jew, dated after the war 1962. That's the year when this Holocaust survivor died.
- A document of the Gestapo of Leipzig, dated 1945, regarding the requirement for a forced labor issue
- A 1933 dated receipt
- A ticket to access some baths in summer 1972
- A death certificate issued in 1962 when the Jew died in the Deutsche Demokratische Republik, under communism.
- Another receipt of 1977 regarding the cemetery and a relation of the fees
-The family Ahnenpass in perfect condition
A magnificent set, rarely seen for sale.
