Rare artwork made on a wooden board by an inmate of KL Buchenwald. Very nice example of inmates' camp artwork. Examples like this one were commonly made by inmates within concentration camps during their spare time. This one depicts the main gate of KL Buchenwald, the crematory, the barracks and an inmate wearing his striped uniform and clogs. We think this was original the lid of a wooden box. Condition is good and it's engraved and colorized. Color is still visible. Awesome piece of a former inmate, that represents a silent witness of the horrors that those people had to suffer during the years of internment.
