Ultra rare document from KL Buchenwald signed by the Lagerkommandant of this camp Hermann Pister. This document is dated 1. May 1942 and it deals with the order sent by Lagerkommandant Pister to KL Stutthof regarding the transfer of the SS guard Hans Böhm on duty in KL Buchenwald to the other concentration camp located in Gdansk area. It says some documents of this concentration camp guard are sent with this letter: SS-Stammkarte, Wehrpaß, Karteikarte and Personalkarte.
Signature is handwritten by Pister. Pister had the rank of SS-Oberführer when he was commandant in KL Buchenwald last 3 years of existence of this infamous Nazi camp. He replaced Karl Otto Koch in this concentration camp. He was the main responsible for the "Death Train" to Dachau, with hundreds of prisoners from KL Buchenwald. He was found guilty of crimes against humanity and sentenced to death by hanging in 1947. He eventually died in prison by acute heart attack in 1948.
