Friedrich August Jeckeln (2 February 1895 in Hornberg - 3 February 1946 in Riga , USSR) was a German SS-Obergruppenfuhrer , General of the Waffen-SS , the Police and Higher SS and Police Leader .He was responsible for the mass murder of over 100,000 people, including at Kamenets-Podolsk , Babyn Yar , and the Riga Ghetto . He was executed as a war criminal in 1946.
