Original period Volkssturm identification armband for members of the peoples' militia modified with elastic ribbon, rarely seen in this configuration, done to ease the process of wearing it. Used condition and in its printed version, with some dirt due to use, it's the legit armband used by the iconic Goebbels' Nazi peoples' militia, that was the last and desperate attempt of the Nazi regime to defeat the enemy that was about to end with 12 years of terror of Nazism in Europe. Volkssturm was created using reservists, children and WW1 war veterans, all those men that weren't called up during the WW2. The result was disastrous. Equipped with non-official uniforms, old WW1 uniforms, with old fashioned weaponry, their effect was more than ridiculous, and thousands died during the last months of the war.

This armband is full length version to be stitched to the jacket or tunic used by the Volkssturm member. Condition is excellent.
