Rare German Passport Issued to Jewish Woman - Escaped

Price:$620.00
Product category:

Rare German passport issued to a Jewish woman from Bornheim, issued in 1939 to Grete Sara Schmitz. Passport is really interesting because there are some visas of a trip to Chile via Italy. This trip was done in 1939 to save her life and escape the Holocaust in Germany.Passport has the well known big red "J" ink stamp to identify her as a Jew. There's another interesting detail: this woman was forced to use female name "Sara", according to the anti-Semitic law that obligued all the Jewish men and women to use Israel and Sara respectively in all the documents so that they could easily be identified as Jews. It comes with her photo and overall condition is excellent.
