Product category:

Tile Manufactured by Same Polish Company that Made Tiles For Treblinka Extermination Camp. Tile comes on the reverse with the marking of the manufacturer DL with a star of David as a symbol that has nothing to do with Jewish memorabilia but it's connected to Holocaust with that Treblinka link. The star placed on the tiles and the letters DL suggest that this is a product from Opoczno. In 1883, Jan Dziewulski and his brothers Józef and W?adys?aw Lange founded a ceramic factory in this city. The company initially produced bricks, later tiles. In 1898, the first ceramic tile factory was established. The seat of the Dziewulski and Lange Joint-Stock Company was located in Warsaw, at ul. Mazowiecka 4. The company survived until 1949, when it was announced that it would become state property. “And the old company logo, showing a six-pointed star placed between the capital letters D and L in a circle with a dot in the middle, due to its similarity to the Star of David, is now wrongly associated with Jewish memorabilia instead of the Opoczno factory".
