Very nice example of a Wehrmacht helmet ground dung in the area of Cherkassy, where the famous pocket of Cherkassy took place against the Red Army. Helmet is in really good condition for being ground dug because it's found in a bunker where it was in clay, where there's no oxygen and there's almost no process of corrosion and leather decompsition. Therefore, decal and steel are really nice.

Helmet is a m40 single decal model. Wehrmacht eagle decal is almost 100% complete and the patina of use of the helmet is really good. Some corrosion to the surface can be seen, but nothing of importance taking into account it was buried for almost 80 years!

Real been there item with lots of character! A true iconic WW2 item.
