WW2 - Great set of 3 photos of a concentration camp guard of the SS Totenkopfverbände!
Price: | $80.00 |
We offer for sale this nice set comprising 3 different pictures of the same young soldier who served as a guard of a concentration camp in SS Totenkopfverbände. Later soldier was transferred to Waffen SS Totenkopf Division and died in the front in Russia! Look at the pictures. Guy wears the well known Totenkopf skull on the right collar tab and blank one on the left, commonly seen in KZ, full of low graduation SS soliders. Small photo has great detail! The other photo shows young TK soldier in complete SS uniform with visor cap probably within the concentration camp area, in the SS barracks. The other one shows his grave in the front! With a swastika made from branches and his helmet and name written by his comrades. This guy fell in action in Russia. And that was very common when it comes to the youngest and fittest TK camp guards, who after serving in camps and when the war brought difficulties to the Nazi Germany in 1942 and luck changed, were called to arms by Theodor Eicke and Himmler to enroll in TK division of the Waffen SS and their place in camps was occupied by old reservists from Luftwaffe and Wehrmacht till the end of the war. The war effort demanded more soldiers and even camp personell was demanded. It isn't that common to see such sets of concentration camp guards and less a picture of them as killed in action!
