This picture was privately made by one of the attendants to one of the most brutal and shocking moments of the last days of WW2: the mob's battering and haning of the corpses of Il Duce Benito Mussolini, his lover Clara Petacci and some other Fascist hierarchs like Alessandro Pavolini and Nicola Bombacci, who were hanged in Milan in the Piazza Loretto. On the back somebody wrote a decription of the picture, in Polish. It's likely that the person who took the picture and described it could have been a Polish Resistance memeber who fought in Italy with the communist partisans to liberate Italy from Fascism and Nazism.
